That’s what the women of Sturdy Girl Cycling endeavor to share with others. Co-founders Sally Poliwoda and Dana Hanchin started the club in the Spring of 2003 with the goal of providing women with a supportive cycling experience in the Philadelphia region.
Beginning in April, the club offers a women’s only road ride that departs from the Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum Mondays at 6:00 pm and meanders for 24 miles to Conshohocken and back at a 14 mph pace. No one gets dropped and the gentle pace offers race weary legs a chance to recover and novices the opportunity to develop pack riding skills… Details Â
