Surfing Video – Maya Gabeira wins fifth Billabong XXL Award

Bilalbong Women’s Performance category packed with solid year-long entries

Brazilian Maya Gabeira won her fifth Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Award last Friday after beating Americans Paige Alms, Keala Kennelly and Savannah Shaughnessy. Maya Gabeira had already won four Billabong XXL awards in a row between 2007 and 2010, but the 25-year-old says this year’s victory was extra special.
