SANTA CRUZ — A group of wounded soldiers arrived in Santa Cruz Monday morning for a week of surfing lessons, courtesy of a nonprofit program called Operation Surf and local surf instructors.
As the group traveled into town, Mission Hill Middle School students lined Mission Street, cheering and holding signs.
