When Sterling took the filming for “Surf Madness” to the land of permanent off-shore winds and long lefts, he knew enough to bring back up: Tyler, Smith, and Anderson provide more than just near-disaster drops into heaving barrels and off-the-top hacks. They brought their horse heads.
