Mountain biking is challenging because it’s just you, and sometimes a buddy, against nature, against yourself, and sometimes against your buddy. Out in the middle of nowhere, relying on yourself and hopefully that buddy of yours, bolsters self-reliance. Are you prepared for a flat tire? Or a broken derailleur?
