Zach McDonald (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Team Rapha-Focus) gave the U.S. its top finish with a 12th-place result in the U23 men’s event on the opening day of the 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium on Saturday.
