The California Surf Museum will reach a new crest in its sun-soaked history Thursday when it celebrates its grand opening in its new home at 312 Pier View Way.
The event marks a new milestone for the funky museum, which debuted in 1986 in the back of an Encinitas restaurant and now fills a 6,000 square foot art-deco style building in the heart of downtown Oceanside.
