Laird Hamilton is widely known for his ability to ride the big waves, paddle, wake, sail and longboard and also for his charitable work with tow partner Dave Kalama to raise funds and awareness for Austism.
But now the Hawai‘i native has another type of board to add to his biography. The Honolulu Symphony announced Friday that Hamilton is one of two new honorary board members. Academy Award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden was the other.
