Michael Waltrip Racing’s proposed expansion into sportscar racing is a few steps closer to reality, with team co-owner Rob Kauffman confirming to SPEED.com that it’s “highly likely†that MWR will be on the grid in next year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with at least one new GRAND-AM specific Ferrari 458 Italia.
