The car chase from 1969 movie The Italian Job is probably one of the most famous ever made – and now three of the original Minis used in the shoot have gone on public display for the first time.
After bidding £6,000 for three boxes of bits from the original cars in 2006, 42-year-old David Morton from Newcastle has lovingly restored the cars to their exact original film specification.
Displaying his three cars at MiniFest in Uttoxeter Staffordshire today the Italian Job and Mini fanatic said: ‘Michael Caine  … Pictures and more
