After hiking the 3 miles up the closed highway to “The Patch” we get there only to see an unusally small amount of snow from this past winter. There is a crystal clear pond that usually has about 10 ft of snow above it but we improvise and make the best out of our situation by turning the hot day into a fun pond skim.
