As one of the most recognizable action sports stars on the planet, Travis Pastrana did not need NASCAR to enhance his profile. Pastrana, 28, moved into stock-car racing because he relished the challenge.
“That’s why you’re seeing so many guys that want to be part of NASCAR (come) from all over, from all other genres, because it’s the most competitive sport in the world,” said Pastrana, who ran in the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Thursday. “At least that’s why I’m over here.”
