Kristin Butcher is one of Bike magazine’s hired guns. She has an almost unhealthy love for bacon, a 15-year-old boy’s affinity for the word ‘beaver’, a pumptrack in her backyard and also dabbles in trials riding. In 2008, Butcher was a Santa Cruz Hell Ride competitor, and would have most likely won had she not gotten ‘knocked up’ shortly before hand (check out her tryout video here). She is now a mother of one. Before motherhood (and post software engineer), she lived for two years on the road as an IMBA Trail Care Crew member, picking up a Red Bull habit in the process.Â
