Napa native Donny Robinson took third place on Saturday and, despite a non-serious crash, managed seventh on Sunday in the first national bicycle motocross event of the season last weekend in Reno, Nev.
“My training has been going amazing and I feel at least as good as when I left the scene, six months ago,†Robinson, a Napa High graduate, wrote in an e-mail blast. “Last weekend marked the six-month anniversary of my last serious crash/injury and I … am happy to say that I had a great weekend.
“It was a total success as I pretty much did everything I wanted to do. I won a couple laps, I got on the podium, and I had a crash, which in itself was a victory because I was able to know that I can take a hit and walk away.â€
