Motorcycle ice-racing only sounds like an idea hatched at a frat-house kegger.
The story goes that Gary Densford and some of his buddies, having spent their summers racing on the speedway circuit around Oklahoma City, wanted to do something in the offseason. They went to the hardware store, picked up some sheet metal screws, studded the tires of their bikes and found a frozen lake.
When friends showed up to watch, Densford started to wonder.
