Last February, Shaun White of the United States dazzled the world in Vancouver when he won the snowboard halfpipe gold medal for his second consecutive Winter Games. The free-spirited 24-year-old redhead from San Diego who is often called “The Flying Tomato,” is also a multiple X Games gold medalist in both snowboarding and skateboarding. In 2009, White was named by Forbes magazine as one of the top 10 highest paid ($9 million) athletes in the action sports industry.
