Here’s the deal: If you’ve got an hour or two and a creek boat, you can go whitewater kayaking within or just outside of Pittsburgh’s city limits.
Here’s the catch: The water level in many local streams, runs and creeks is only high enough to paddle after it rains. When the waterways fill up with storm water, they also fill up with sewage overflow. And when there’s no ice, winter is actually a good time to do it.
