The North American Blokart Sailing Association (NABSA) has been selected as host for the 2012 Blokart World Championships. The event will be sailed at a venue often called the Mecca of land yachting, Ivanpah dry lake bed situated near the Californian / Nevada boarder town of Primm.

Ivanpah Lake is a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California on the border of California and Nevada. Nestled in the Ivanpah Valley near Primm on Interstate 15, the 35-square-mile (34 km2) lake is almost entirely within California.

On March 26, 2009, the world land speed record for a wind-powered vehicle was set at Ivanpah by the Greenbird, clocked at 126.1 mph (202.9 km/h)   …  Details & Pictures
