Remember how much fun you had as a kid, pushing a button and watching in awe as your Hot Wheels mini sedan cruised from its accelerator and raced up an impressive loop? The simple things that satisfied in our youth were always covered in a veil of fantasy, though, weren’t they? Once we realized the possibility of having more – more stunts and boosts, more of that adrenaline feeling that the cars could fly off the track at any given moment – we felt disappointed by a one-loop, one-trick pony. Toy companies would be too limited to realize the “asphalt labyrinths” from our imagination, so these virtual raceways would have to settle for a virtual home…..
….TrackMania DS can be thought of as the spiritual successor to Stunts some 20 years later. That’s not to say there weren’t numerous other attempts to offer racing alongside track building, but few seem to do it as well as TrackMania…. Details
