The Lighthouse to Leighton Kite Race is an open ocean kite race on Saturday 11th of December 2010.
Just 50 experienced kite surfers from around the world are expected to race across the 19 kilometers of Gage Roads from Natural Jetty/ Phillip Rock to Leighton Beach. With the famous ‘Fremantle Doctor’ wind blowing, the race is expected to take between 30 and 40 minutes for the fastest kiters and is with in kind assistance from Fremantle Ports and Royal Life Saving WA.
