Soon we get our first look at the future shape of the top flight of motorcycle racing.
After the race in Valencia the weekend after this one, Valentino Rossi gets to swing his leg over the factory Ducati for the first time. And with the MotoGP crown already decided for this year, it’s hardly surprising that the focus is on that moment.
Of course, such things set up a huge raft of questions; not only about this weekend’s race in Portugal, but the season to come.
