With a labor dispute threatening to keep some of the sport’s biggest stars on the sidelines and creating uncertainty surrounding the 2011 season, principals at the Dew Tour and Maloof Money Cup reaffirmed their commitment to street skating for next year.
“We’re putting the pedal on street skating, not letting up,” said Wade Martin, president of Alli, which runs the Dew Tour action sports series, where the competitive skate park season concludes in Las Vegas Friday night. “We want to invest more against it and will look to continue to improve it.”   … Details
