The Gold Coast Conference event #5 and opening day of the Northwest Conference took place in stunning Indian summer weather at Morro Bay on the weekend of October 9th and 10th. The competitors were treated to fun contest conditions with toasty 80 degree temps, a variety of winds ranging from warm offshore to brisk onshores and fair to good waves all weekend.
Despite almost nil swell along the California coast on Saturday, “the Rock†at Morro Bay didn’t disappoint with small but rippable waist high peaks. Sunday’s Northwest Conference opener enjoyed a building northwest swell which pumped in solid chest to head high lefts and rights.Â
