GRINDTV NEWSWIRE via ASP: PUERTO ESCONDIDO, Oaxaca/Mexico (Tuesday, July 20, 2010) – Brazilians Denis Tihara (BRA), 25, and Junior Faria (BRA), 23, led competitors through massive 10-to-12 foot (3-4 metre) surf at the iconic Mexican Pipeline by posting perfect 10-point rides at the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 4-Star Quiksilver Pro Puerto Escondido.
After running eight heats of the Round of 64 throughout the morning, today’s action saw Quiksilver Pro Puerto Escondido organizers put the event on hold until this evening to capitalize on the return of ideal winds while running four more heats to close out the day.
