Fiji’s Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today announced the opening of his nation’s entire wave-riches to the public. A move that will include the previously privatised Restaurants and Cloudbreak reefs off Tavarua – two of the world’s greatest waves.

“It’s very positive for the development of surfing in Fiji and especially tourism …the biggest benefit is going to the rural areas – it will create employment for surfing related industries,†said the statement.
Boat charter companies are already making plans to begin operations in the region.
