Troy Henkels and Geza Sholtz will try to kiteboard across the Bering Strait from Russia to Alaska
This summer Troy Henkels (Alaska) and Geza Sholtz (Switzerland) will make an unprecedented attempt to kiteboard across the Bering Strait from Russia to Alaska.
Although only 56 miles (90km), this crossing comes with its own subset of difficulties: extremely strong currents, violent storms, strong winds, fog, cold water, and international politics, just to name a few.
