Every Formula 1 fan should be rejoicing this week as the announcement finally came that the former BAR and Honda Racing team had been saved and will take their place on the grid in Melbourne at the end of this month.
In the past I have been critical of Honda Racing and their misplaced claims to be a team worthy of challenging McLaren and Ferrari for the world championship. Despite the millions invested, and while Ross Brawn is a man I admire from his days with Benetton and Ferrari, I was initially sceptical about whether he could once again transform a team into a force to be reckoned with when he became Team Principal at Honda in 2007.
