Risking life and limb at more than 130kmh over water may not be everyone’s idea of fun but for the racers in the North Island Water Ski Racing Championships on Wellington Harbour at the weekend there was nothing quite like it.
More than 20 took to the water, donning helmets, padded wetsuits and arm supports in preparation for the national champs in Taupo in a fortnight.
