Cycling – Time trial win not a message to Armstrong, says Contador

Alberto Contador’s stunning Paris-Nice time trial win sent a warning to his rivals four months before the Tour de France but the Spaniard denied it was directed at team mate Lance Armstrong.

Astana manager Johan Bruyneel said earlier this season that the team leader for the Tour would be the best rider come early July and Contador staked his claim on Sunday.
