Sea kayaker Freya Hoffmeister had only two things on her mind when she finally disembarked after a 13,000km circumnavigation of Australia: food and dry clothes.
“I’m hungry and I need to get out of my swimsuit,” she told AAP.
Hoffmeister on Tuesday returned to Queenscliff where her journey began in January.
After 332 days in a swimsuit, the German completed the 13,000km journey 28 days faster than the only other successful circumnavigation, by New Zealander Paul Caffyn in 1982 …Â DetailsÂ
