“It was a long day,” said Triple Crown Managing Director Marty Thomas, standing with Randy Rarrick back behind the scaffolding at the Gidget Pro at Sunset Beach. The madness of an awards ceremony swirled about, and Marty continued, “We got some waves, crowned a world champ, and ushered in the next generation in women’s surfing. You couldn’t ask for much more.”
