The U.S. Forest Service recently announced its updated comprehensive management plan for the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDNST). The plan states that mountain biking is an acceptable use of the trail, and emphasizes that forest service offices should formulate strategies appropriate for their districts. During the comment period, the Forest Service received more than 8,000 comments. Thanks to an IMBA action alert, many of the comments were submitted by mountain bikers who spoke in favor of bicycle access.
