American Nicky Hayden hopes to end his season-long slump in Sunday’s Indianapolis MotoGP.
Hayden qualified sixth Saturday for his fourth top-10 start of the season, all coming in the last five races. The 2006 former world champion is 14th in points this season and hasn’t finished better than fifth, but his solid qualifying effort could lead to a strong effort near his hometown of Owensboro, Ky.
“I’m not going to make any big predictions or nothing,†he said. “There’s a few guys in that front group that are certainly quick, but you know, in racing, anything can happen.â€
