TRG Motorsports is heading to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Allstate 400 at the Brickyard to run on Sunday, July 26.
David Gilliland will take the No. 71 TRG Motorsports Chevrolet Impala SS to the hallowed ground of motorsports for the team’s first race at the historic track. Gilliland has two starts at Indy with a best finish of 17th.
“Indy is its own unique track,†Gilliland said. “It is way different than any track we run. The shape of it with its long straights legendary, but yet it drives like an intermediate track. It is two-and-a-half miles, the same length as a super speedway, but it is its own deal for sure. We use close to an intermediate setup with the brakes and settings. Indy is a very historic track and one that everyone looks forward to racing.â€Â  … Details
