The Rio Maran is a box canyon in a remote region of Southern Peru. This small river gives out quite an unforgettable adventure for those willing to put in the work to get there. A mix between canyoneering, kayaking, and desert camping The Maran makes you work hard but the scenery and experience is full value. We went in October of 2015 but I think flows would be better in May as you will catch the left overs from the rainy season. Enjoy a wild adventure with some close friends through an other-worldy river canyon. – Evan Garcia
