Now, the BBC reports that the rift between the event organizers and the main competitors who were threatening to break away may have come to an amicable decision.

Formula One auto competition has been big news for more than just the races and which drivers are winning lately (in case you have not heard). The big news is the divide between the Event owner and organization who are in a position of power and the teams who bring a huge fan base and following to the sport.
The Event organization, controlled almost wholly by recently divorced 78-year-old billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, has been accused of setting illogical and restrictive “arbitrary” rules that limit competitors use of advanced technology and engineering skills.
