Splits, break-ups, and divorce topics are all the rage these days in headline news. For those exotic car owners and lovers who are fans of F1 Racing, it’s been a strange year thus far — and not one that’s been feeling very lovey dovey. Massive debates have raged back and forth about the future of Formula One racing. Now, the BBC reports that the rift between the event organizers and the main competitors who were threatening to break away may have come to an amicable decision.

HISTORY OF THE F1 – FIA  RIFT

Formula One auto competition has been big news for more than just the races and which drivers are winning lately (in case you have not heard). The big news is the divide between the Event owner and organization who are in a position of power and the teams who bring a huge fan base and following to the sport.

The Event organization, controlled almost wholly by recently divorced 78-year-old billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, has been accused of setting illogical and restrictive “arbitrary” rules that limit competitors use of advanced technology and engineering skills.
