Snowboard Skiing – Any snow anywhere? Yes

Skiing down under is well underway with resorts in New Zealand starting early and a couple of Aussie ones opening this weekend. There’s snow in Norway and a fresh fall in Austria. Oh, and some in India too. It’s melted in Saudi Arabia though.

The 2009 ski season has kicked off in the Southern Hemisphere with the opening of Mt Hutt  in New Zealand. In North America, Whistler Blackcomb, has finished earlier than expected due to warm weather as we have already reported on PlanetSKI, but a handful of resorts remain open.  More than a dozen ski centres are still open in Europe across six countries, with fresh snow reported in Austria and Norway …  Details
