Was out in the kelp beds off La Jolla California when I kept hearing a blow spouts and couldn’t pin point where it was coming from. I realized that the whale was right behind And close… I put down the fishing pole and started pedalling away , grabbed my phone and then it happened very quick. We had crossed paths or the whale had made a left turn directly towards me giving me a warning slap barely missing me.
