The World Surfing Reserves program is a new, cutting edge initiative designed to enshrine and protect the world’s best surf spots. The program mission is to proactively designate and help preserve outstanding waves, surf zones and their surrounding environments, around the world. The goal is to designate and protect a unique part of the coastal environment recognized by the local community, local surf organizations, regional and national authorities, Save The Waves Coalition and its partners.
