Porsche will challenge the 2017 racing season with a newly-developed GT racer that features a mid-engined layout. The new 911 RSR makes full use of the breadth of the Le Mans 24 Hours GT regulations, and in addition to systematic lightweight design, features the flat-six unit positioned in front of the rear axle. The new 911 RSR — which the company calls the ‘most spectacular’ 911 ever — will make its debut at the 2017 Daytona 24 Hour race in January.
