Plenty has been made of the extent to which Chrysler and General Motors’ financial problems might impact their NASCAR participation, since Dodge and Chevrolet cars make up a large portion of the field — 24 of the 43 in last weekend’s Sprint Cup race at Darlington. With Chrysler filing for bankruptcy, and General Motors possibly following suit within the next two weeks, there is cause for concern.
