Surfing – San Clemente High’s Dowell is Surf Coach of the Year

As if a NSSA State Championship for both the San Clemente High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Surf Teams weren’t enough cause for celebration, SCHS learned last week that the National Scholastic Surfing Association named the team’s coach, John Dowell, its “2009 National Coach of the Year.”
 
The NSSA National Coach of the Year is presented annually to recognize a coach for his/her professionalism, attitude, and special contributions which have guided their teams through an outstanding season…  Details
