A hot air balloon has some serious pulling power – enough to pull a ‘balloon surfer’ 30km per hour across a lake.
Carsten Kurmis swapped his kitesurfing sail for the balloon to make his 19 minute journey across the Tegernsee in Bavaria, Germany.
Slaloming across the surface of the water with the balloon 150 metres above him, Carsten proves that balloons can be used for a little more than just sedate sightseeing.
