Surf fans across the globe eagerly awoke this morning expecting to be able to watch the Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau invitational big-wave surfing contest. Unfortunately, all of that excitement quickly dissipated when organizers on Hawaii’s North Shore decided to call off the contest at the last minute this morning.
