Noa Deane’s raw and frenetic approach strikes a chord with those disillusioned with the glossy, jock-ish, consumer-friendly image that’s being promulgated by the WSL.
Ironically, in his imperfections and subtle intricacies that hearken back to the days of raw power and aggression in the vein of A.I., Fletcher and Archbold, he’s found a place among surfing’s elite and at the top of every kid’s favorite surfer list. And for good reason.
