Pre-dawn sessions. The coldest of days. When the waves are maxing or when the swell is so-so. Lower Trestles has a crew of highly-devoted locals. They surf there as often as possible and have done so for years. They have their routines and their stories. Mostly, they just love to surf. They don’t venture elsewhere because the cobblestone pointbreak located on the border between Orange and San Diego County is as good a wave as the state has to offer. Why would they surf anywhere else?
