Every Formula 1 fan should be rejoicing this week as the announcement finally came that the former BAR and Honda Racing team had been saved and will take their place on the grid in Melbourne at the end of this month.

In the past I have been critical of Honda Racing and their misplaced claims to be a team worthy of challenging McLaren and Ferrari for the world championship. Despite the millions invested, and while Ross Brawn is a man I admire from his days with Benetton and Ferrari, I was initially sceptical about whether he could once again transform a team into a force to be reckoned with when he became Team Principal at Honda in 2007.

The other Busch showed his kid brother a thing or two.

Kurt Busch, a former Cup champion who’s been overshadowed lately by his sibling Kyle, drove to a dominating victory Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The 30-year-old Busch led 234 of 330 laps in the Kobalt Tools 500, surviving a couple of scrapes with the wall and a late caution to pull away for a 0.332-second victory over Jeff Gordon.

Pole-sitter Mark Martin, who had become the second-oldest driver in Cup history to claim the top spot in qualifying, had another rough day …  Details
