A program which allows teens to legally drag race against Vallejo police officers isn’t expected to worsen the police department’s current woes over worn out cars and equipment.Â
Vallejo Police Department officials could not be reached for comment Monday, but the program’s coordinator said there have been no accidents or injuries in “Top the Cops” history.Â
“All you’re doing is going from point A to point B,” said Kevin McKinnie, a retired Santa Rosa police officer who started the program more than a dozen years ago.
