As souvenirs go, this is a good one. The Porsche Museum has just released a DVD history of the company in eight chapters, each covering a decade of Porsche’s history. The DVD is titled The Porsche Way.

The DVD, which has a specially composed musical soundtrack, is two and a half hours in length and is available in both German and English. It’s based on the Porsche archives’ 5,000 hours of film footage. The company promises some never-before-released film clips…  Details

Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has warned the FIA they face a mutiny from the car manufacturers in F1 if they do not resolve the row over rules and funding.

The FIA wants to bring in a £40 million budget cap, with hefty penalties for teams that do not operate within that limit, in time for the 2010 season.

Although Ferrari have been accepted unconditionally on the entry list for the 2010 season they could still leave F1.

The fact Chevrolet joined Chrysler and Ford in cutting support to racing programs in NASCAR’s top three series is hardly surprising, given the stark reality of the economy as a whole, but such moves may hasten the arrival of more foreign carmakers.

“We have been talking to people for off and on for a long time,” NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France said before Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. “These are decisions in terms of the new manufacturers joining the sport that would take a long time to evaluate and actually enter.
