The company, known here more for motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and outboard boat engines, is the world’s 12th-largest automaker, with annual global sales exceeding those of Mazda, BMW, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz or even the Dodge division of Chrysler LLC.
